Ethos and clients 'raise the bar' at The Lawyer Awards 2015.
We are proud to sponsor The Lawyer's 'Barrister of the Year' award.
On Tuesday evening, 1,200 in-house counsel and private practitioners gathered at the 5- star Grosvenor House Hotel in London for the legal calendar’s premier event of the year - The Lawyer Awards.
We were proud this year to sponsor The Lawyer’s coveted ‘Barrister of the Year’ award – especially given our company’s established links with so many chambers and solicitors firms, including Old Square Chambers, Cloisters Chambers and Serjeants’ Inn Chambers, not to mention The Bar Council itself.
The award recognises an individual barrister’s significant commitment to their clients’ needs – a commitment we champion in our own business. So it was particularly delightful for everyone on the Ethos table that the stars aligned and the Barrister of the Year was named as none-other than Dr. Bridget Dolan of Serjeants’ Inn Chambers – a set of Chambers we have been supplying with telephony solutions for over two years.
Bridget is recognised as a leading junior in Court of Protection work and is often instructed to give operational policy advice to public bodies in addition to her advice and representation in individual cases. She has a particular interest in cases involving deprivation of liberty having appeared in two of the headline Court of Protection cases concerning the interplay between the Mental Capacity Act and the Mental Health Act. Bridget has also written a number of academic papers addressing capacity issues and she regularly lectures on the Mental Capacities Act.
Joel Sapiro from Ethos and the former Foreign Secretary, The Right Honourable William Hague FRSL presented Bridget with her well-deserved award. We look forward to following her career as it progresses to even greater heights.
