Cambridge United secure a win over the weekend.

The U's secure a win at home following a close match.

Cambridge Untied finished 1-0 following a close match against Stevenage at the Cambs Glass Stadium on Saturday the 25th.

The first 45 minutes of the game lacked action, however the pace was improved by three substitutions by Cambridge, Jevani Brown, George Maris and David Amoo, who were highly praised by The U’s Head Coach Shaun Derry.

It was Brown who set up Uche Ikpeazu’s goal with three minutes to spare. This accompanied by three marvellous saves by goalie David Forde in the final ten minutes meant that Cambridge were able to secure their win.

Speaking after the game, Derry said: “In terms of making positive substitutions I think we came off today and I think that second half performance was more like us.”

Cambridge United’s next match will be on the 3rd of December against Newport County.
