Ethos "spurs" on retailTRUST's £1million fundraising event.
We donated a match in our hospitality box at White Hart Lane - home of Tottenham Hotspur FC - to the retailTRUST auction, helping raised over £1 million.
The retailTRUST are a non-profit organisation that looks after the needs of the 4.5 million people working in the UK and Irish retail sectors. Last Thursday, the Trust threw their annual black-tie ball - the 62nd retailTRUST Celebration – to raise money for their good works.
The star-studded event at Old Billingsgate attracted over 1,000 VIPs including Arcadia boss Sir Philip Green, House of Fraser Chairman Don McCarthy and celebrities including supermodel Caprice and DJ Pat Sharp.
The retailTRUST are longstanding customers of ours and we were delighted to once again take a table at the event and support their important fundraising efforts – this year by donating a match in our Tottenham Hotspur FC hospitality box to the evening’s auction.
The evening raised over £1 million for the retailTRUST, an astonishing effort that we were proud to contribute to.
Whether Robin Turner, MD of First Friday, a training & development and change management business, and winning bidder of our hospitality box, is a Spurs supporter is as yet unconfirmed. We do know however that he has supported an important and worthy cause – helping improve the lives of people working in retail.
